This morning, I was handed this. It is a shining example of the high quality of the Chicago postal system. If you can't tell what it is, it is an envelope that was delivered to us in a plastic bag because apparently a postal worker decided to stuff their exhaust pipe with it first or something. Actually, we cannot tell what on earth they did to this poor envelope to make it like this. When we opened this up, inside was a donation that someone had sent in. Amazingly, the check was still in decent condition and we are pretty sure we can still deposit it without any problems.

What IS that?

I CAN'T STAND THE CHICAGO POSTAL 'SERVICE'. I seriously hate them.
While packing to move out of the dorm at the end of my sophomore year at college in Texas, I threw away a bunch of old papers, cards, articles, clippings, etc. As I discarded them, I tore them up a bit, too. Maybe 9 weeks later--back at home for the summer in California--I received a huge clear plastic USPS bag in the mail. In it were these random paper items I'd thrown away along with some other person's random trash. Including some photographs of people I'd never seen before. NONE of the items in the bag had my CA address on them--there was just one postcard addressed to my dorm. It was one of the weirdest occurences of my entire life.
