Man, I'm good!
Starting next week is our big Midwinter Conference for pastors. Monday is the Church Planters' Connection portion of the event and I have been racking my brain all week to figure out a cute little favor to give to the people attending that. I thought about those nice herb gardens in a bag but they run about $5 each and I don't have that much to spend per person (we are a church after all). Then I thought about little packets of seeds but that's too obvious. Then I thought about little plants but then realized that most of these people have to fly home and that doesn't bode well for the plants that would end up in the trash. I thought about gardening tools of some kind but thought that a garden shovel in someone's carry on bag could be misinterpreted as a weapon of some kind and I can't handle that kind of responsibility.
Then, yesterday my co-worker and I were at Sam's Club buying way too many sodas (another story for another time) and we were picking up some large cans of peanuts and all of a sudden it hit me: PLANTERS' peanuts!! I said 'OH!' very loudly right there in the middle of the aisle and almost scared my poor co-worker to death. Once she realized how fantastic this idea was, we went running in opposite directions (leaving our very full carts right there) to find individual bags of Planters nuts. We were successful!! Here is the finished product:

Cute, right? (They better be, my fingers still hurt from tying all those bows last night!)
