Greetings and welcome to my blog! This blog was primarily started because of peer pressure and because I haunt so many other people's blogs that I thought it only fair to put out some of my own information into the great wide open.

I don't think that I have a theme for this blog. I am sure that there will be occasions when I wax philosophical on you but mostly you will hear about the inane details of my life, the random purchases that I make, my addiction to shoes, the world of dating in Chicago (oh wait, you won't hear much on that one....), fun times with friends doing exciting things as well as not so exciting things, the trips that I take for work and the interesting people that I meet on those trips, the crazy things I learn as an elder of my church (although I will have to change all names and most of the details but the stories will still be funny), the books that I am reading/want to read, etc. Really, there are no rules. It's my blog and I'll do what I want.

For now, we will talk about shopping. I had Monday off of work and decided to do a little shopping downtown and spend some gift cards that I was collecting. I scored some amazing deals but my favorite purchase is this. (I tried to post a picture of it, but it wasn't cooperating. Oh well.)

We can also talk about how I should be going to the gym tonight before my elder meeting. However, due to my excursion downtown last night, I did not get my 'homework' done for the meeting yet. So, I think that I am going to have to find a cute coffee shop, order something tasty for dinner and sit and read. Man, life is hard sometimes.

I suppose I should maybe explain a little about the blog address and title. Elizavicious is a name that I picked up during a beach volleyball game this past summer. You see, I kind of have a killer serve (when I can make it over the net and in the court which is not 100% of the time) and my friend Robin made up that name for me. Lizbert is a name that my friends Phil and Michelle started calling me awhile ago (although I only found out about it recently). I have no idea how they came up with it or when it started, but it's there and I thought it was funny (at least a little).
