The Best Early Morning Phone Call

This morning my phone rang just a little before 8am. That is unusually early for me to be getting phone calls. My initial thought is always a little panicked because in my family, odd hour phone calls mean bad things. I looked at the caller ID and realized that it was one of my co-workers calling me from her cell. My first thought was that she was calling to let me know that Swedish co-worker and his wife were at the hospital having their first baby. However, that was not the case. She was calling to ask me a very important question. She was at Starbucks and they had messed up her order and given her a regular americano instead of decaf and she was wondering if I wanted the extra. Of course I wanted the extra! What was actually the best thing about it was that she new I would want the extra but she was pretty sure that I would want cream in it and she knows that we only have that nasty powdered stuff at the office and that just wouldn't do. So, I walked into the office this morning to find a lovely free gift on my desk. It was just what I needed on a morning where I'm not feeling great and almost just stayed in bed. So, thank you Starbucks barista for messing up a drink this morning!
