Yikes!

My desk is a mess!! I have an event coming up next week in Seattle and this is what my desk looked like today:


By the time I left today, I think that I was able to get rid of two of the pieces of paper you see here (maybe).
Oh, and when I turn around in my chair, this is what I see!

No, I am not moving. Those boxes are full of empty binders that I have to fill with lots of paper and then ship off to people. The reason that they are not already filled and shipped is that some people seem to not realize that when I say I need something back from them on a certain date, that I am not playing a joke on them. I actually want it on that date, if not sooner. I understand that not everyone is as organized as I am and I am learning to accept that. However, it is hard for me to understand how, if something really is important to someone, how they can just not turn in paperwork that has to do with it. These aren't documents that I made up for my enjoyment. They are documents that need to be filled out in order to make the trip next week more successful for all involved. Can you tell I'm a little annoyed with people who don't meet deadlines?
Aside from some missing paperwork, I'm looking forward to going to Seattle. It's supposed to be about 55 and rainy all week but that sounds just fine to me! As far as I'm concerned, that's a heat wave. I might also be looking forward to all the good coffee I get to drink. A lot of coffee is always consumed on these trips but it's not always the best. At least this time I know I don't have to go far for a tasty cup of coffee (possibly with something pretty drawn in the foam on top!).
Anyway, I just thought that I would give you a little glimpse of the chaos that I get to go back to in the morning. (Ok, maybe to some, it's not exactly chaos but to me it is).
